It is a pleasure to look at a shiny Ferrari or Maserati, and not least a boy's dream to experience all the latest models covering an area of 8,500 m?. But what compliments the exclusive cars more than a majestic setting with stylish interior design and high-gloss dark-coloured glazed partitions that can mirror these beauties?
To draw attention to the exclusive cars, Formula Automobile required a minimalist and discreet architecture for the car house, and for that reason DEKO's project managers and installers have had the pleasure of working with such a particularly exciting project.
Adaptation of the cars design and brand
Already at the entrance to the large car house, one is welcomed into the foyer of a decorative and profile-free glazed partition with Ferrari's well-known red-colour theme. There can be no doubt about the prominent quality of the cars and the brand.
The entire establishment has the same general theme and design for respectively, Ferrari and Maserati, for which the products must be adapted. Therefore, DEKO has supplied and installed DEKO FG fully glazed partitions and DEKO FV Glass folding partitions with specially coloured glazed partitions in red, smoke and bronze colours. The dark transparent glass has the same glossy surface as the cars themselves, thereby shining a gleaming reflection on the partitions that enrich the look with all the cars’ angles.
Slim profiles and no visible glass joints
Furthermore, all DEKO FG glazed partitions and DEKO FV Glass folding partitions are fitted with slim profiles, profile-free at the bottom and sides with clear glass joints of silicone. In this way, the transitions between the glazed partitions are hidden, and both glazed partitions and doors appear as a perfect whole.
The sliding glazed doors are also hidden — fitted at the top with discrete track solutions, so they also have smooth glass surfaces and give the impression that they are floating in the room. An exclusive showroom can never have too many unique details, and besides exciting elements such as curved glass shapes, high glazed partitions and specially coloured glass, there must also be characteristic surfaces with the Ferrari printed film. The hinges of the film-coated partitions are completely flush with the door, so that at first glance you do not notice that the partition can actually be opened and used as an entrance to another room.
An exciting challenge
A large and well-known brand requires very special design solutions, and for DEKO, the high demands on design and minimalism have been an exciting challenge, which has only provided more experience and more competencies in the field.
“Formula Automobile is a strong brand, with great ambitions. This has placed high demands on the design of their new establishment, in which DEKO’s glazed partitions, far down the road, have been the focal point of the architecture. The strict requirements for design have made this project very special for DEKO, which has pushed the boundaries of the opportunities we can offer in the future. For me personally, it has also been a very special undertaking that has given me a wealth of experiences along the way,” says Patrick T. Larsen, who has been DEKO's contract manager for the project.
DEKO began the installation at the end of October 2018, and as early as January 31 in the new year, Formula Automobile was able to celebrate the official opening of their shiny new showroom.
