Same minimalist design regardless of sound and fire requirements

The law firm’s new office environment in sterport II exudes exclusivity and elegance - right down to the minutest detail. Bright office spaces have become a must in high-end office environments. Because glass creates a feeling of lightness and injects natural daylight into all the rooms, glazed partitions continue to be at the top of the hit list when it comes to interior elements.

So, it goes without saying that fully glazed partitions are also the major feature of the office environment at Oslo Plads 2, which comprises a total of three leased premises in the sterport II building. DEKO supplied and installed DEKO FG fully glazed partitions, DEKO FG2 sound-rated glazed partitions, providing sound reduction of up to Rw 48 dB and DEKO FG Fire EI 60 fire-rated glazed partitions. The fully glazed partitions are customised and, although they have different properties to accommodate the high acoustic and fire requirements, they all have the same minimalist design.

Customised solutions for sterport II

In order to accommodate the customer’s request for glazed cross-partitions both between offices and between offices and meeting rooms, good acoustic properties were not the only important factor for the fully glazed partitions. With up to 10 glazed partitions crosswise, the numerous layers of glass would create a greenish tinge. So, in order to achieve the clearest, most beautiful result, we had to use low-iron glass for all the fully glazed partitions.

Instead of finishing with partition profiles, the fully glazed partitions are pointed against adjacent walls. This called for incredibly precise work during this the installation process on the part of our highly skilled - and highly experienced - installers. For the fully glazed partitions facing the corridor area, fully glazed doors with a narrow 64 mm door frame were built-in, almost completely flush with the glass, lending a seamless transition between door and partition.
